Newstead Set for Sunday Night Brass
Newstead Brass will be revealing some of the new pieces for their summer concert programme, reprising some old favourites and maybe including a few surprises when they perform another of their popular ‘Sunday Night Brass’ concerts at the Newstead Centre on Sunday April 28th at 8.00 pm.
Admission to ‘Sunday Night Brass’ is just £3. Tickets can be reserved online or purchased at the door.
A Newstead band spokesman said, “Newstead Brass are known for the musical variety in their programmes and this ‘Sunday Night Brass’ concert will include some of the new pieces for our summer concerts across the East Midlands. Many of our soloists have chosen new pieces and we’re working on music that’s fun whilst extending the traditional sound of brass. As the costs of running one of the area’s leading bands continues to rise, we need as many people as possible, including anyone interested in sponsoring the band’s activities, to come along and support our concerts. This event will help us meet the costs of competing in the British Open Brass Band Championships next month.”
The Newstead Centre is situated on Tilford Road in Newstead Village, near to Newstead railway station (map).
